Frequently asked questions

Which PLC platforms does IMHA work with?

We have experience with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation), Siemens, Schneider Electric, Omron, and other platforms. Our engineers can work with the platform your plant already uses, or assist with platform selection for new installations.

Can you retrofit automation into an existing plant without full replacement?

Yes. Retrofitting and upgrading existing control systems is a significant part of our work. We can add PLC control to previously manual systems, upgrade legacy controllers, or integrate new instrumentation into an existing SCADA without replacing the whole system.

Do you provide SCADA system development?

Yes. We design, develop, and commission SCADA systems for process monitoring, alarming, trending, and reporting. We work with iFIX, Wonderware (AVEVA), Ignition, and other platforms depending on your requirements.

What does commissioning involve?

Commissioning involves testing all installed hardware, verifying instrument signals, checking interlocks and safety logic, tuning control loops, confirming SCADA alarms and setpoints, and handing over documentation including loop diagrams, I/O lists, and software backups.

Do you offer post-commissioning support?

Yes. We provide on-call and scheduled support for automation systems including remote assistance, software changes, hardware fault diagnosis, and planned maintenance visits. See our Maintenance, Calibration & Support service for more detail.
