Frequently asked questions
What does turnkey mean for an IMHA engineering project?▾
Turnkey means IMHA manages the full project scope from design through to commissioned, operational plant. We handle design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover documentation — you receive a working system rather than managing multiple separate contractors. The level of involvement is agreed per project; we can also take partial scopes.
Do you work on both greenfield and brownfield projects?▾
Yes. We work on both new installations (greenfield) and modifications, upgrades, or expansions to existing operating plants (brownfield). Brownfield work requires careful planning around production continuity, and we have experience managing installations with live adjacent plant.
Can IMHA manage the full multi-discipline scope?▾
Yes. Our team covers mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering. For projects requiring civil or structural work, we coordinate with specialist subcontractors while maintaining overall project management responsibility.
What project documentation do you deliver at handover?▾
Standard handover documentation includes as-built P&IDs and drawings, equipment data sheets, instrument data books, loop diagrams, I/O lists, PLC/SCADA software backups, operations and maintenance manuals, and the project safety file. Documentation format and content is agreed at project kickoff.
Can you deliver projects across Africa?▾
Yes. Our team can travel for project installation, commissioning, and support work outside South Africa where the project scope justifies it. We have experience with the logistical and operational demands of African industrial project sites. Contact us to discuss your location and requirements.
